I cannot believe how gracious the organizers of the Zentralschweizer Jodlerfest Dagmersellen have been to me! Marie-Theres Knuesel-Kronnenberg (pictured here) is the acting President and organizer of the festival and has acted as my main contact for the visit. Considering that they are expecting anywhere from 30 - 40,000 people at the event, she has taken special time and extra care to make sure that I have the proper credentials and information for the festival. She has even found a volunteer to give me a yodeling lesson! I will be meeting Marie-Theres von Guten for my yodeling lesson. She is a nationally renowned yodeler and composer in Switzerland, so this is quite an honor. Now, in addition to being very
excited - I'm a little nervous. Perhaps I'll discover that yodeling should be left to the professionals! It will all be in good fun and a great opportunity. I've read all about Marie-Theres von Guten on her website, and I know I'm in for quite a treat. In addition to the lesson, I'm hoping that I can purchase some of her CDs and compositions for yodeling choirs. Fantastic!
