Venice, Vacation, and Vaporetti

WOW! That sums up Venice for me. This is the birthplace of
true power in the Renaissance and it shows (even to this day) everywhere you look. Today I'm adding just a few photos of the Canals and modes of transportation. We're getting around town on the Vaporetti, which are water buses. Just like on land, they're hot, crowded and a great place to watch people, most of whom are on vacation from hundreds of countries. "Real Venetians" live in Mestro - the land section of Venice and only come to this portion to work (in tourism industries, I think). We've seen fire and police boats, water taxis, delivery and construction boats, ...and yes, even gondolas.
